What infrastructure is required for STACK?
STACK requires a Moodle site and access to a server configured with the Maxima CAS system.
Can I set it up myself?
Yes, it is possible to set it up yourself. There is advice available on the Stack Assessment website, however the vast majority of users do find that they need support setting it up.
Is programming knowledge needed to create STACK questions?
Yes, basic knowledge of Maxima syntax is required. We provide online tutorial videos on how to create questions but if you run into difficulties our experts offer comprehensive training and support.
How long does it take to create questions?
It takes considerable time to create a question from the start but once you get familiar with the basics you should create them much faster. All of our clients will have access to a database of pre-built questions. We also provide you with an expert to help you create some questions when you first start.
