On 30 April 2019, Catalyst released version 19.04 of the open source ePortfolio platform Mahara. This version contains new features and changes to current functionality, contributed by Catalyst staff in New Zealand, Australia, and the UK, as well as community members.
Notable features in Mahara 19.04 are:
- Editor to set up competency frameworks in the administration area;
- Forum post moderation;
- Upgrade to Bootstrap 4;
- Support for the Badgr open badges backpack;
- Institutions are now isolated, so separate belonging to different institutions are separated for greater privacy when required;
- Updates to the automation test suite.
Catalyst clients contributed to a number of these new features to support the development of Mahara.
