Catalyst specialises in developing, designing and supporting open source technology. We are leaders in the open source community and have offices nationally and worldwide.

Herein lies the opportunity to substantially contribute to a NZ-owned and managed business that makes a positive difference to central and local government, not-for-profits and private companies.

You will be expected to lead a small finance team to deliver all financial functions for the Catalyst Group of companies, ranging from processing and compliance activities to pricing strategy, budgeting, forecasting, systems improvement and cost management.

In addition, you will provide the financial strategic direction and leadership to the Managing Director and the Board. It will be your responsibility to be the centre of excellence on key areas of finance, strategy, investment, decision support, risk and value management.

You will be involved in all facets, drawing insights across companies and developing strong internal relationships to drive improved financial performance. You will be involved in development of commercial and procurement approaches, including negotiations with suppliers and customers.


You will demonstrate:

• Success in a CFO or senior finance role, exhibiting a collaborative approach across the business

• Ideally a background in the IT industry but most importantly looking for an interest in and commitment to open source technology

• Proven ability to contribute to strategic financial planning and success in implementation through an organisation

You will show evidence of excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills with customers, staff, managers, partners, clients and suppliers.
