Catalyst provides open source solutions and services for a wide variety of New Zealand and international organisations, including major corporations, government departments, schools, and universities. Our products and services include software design and development; managing and hosting cloud-based business applications and technical and project consulting in UX and design.
We’re looking for an intermediate or senior Business and UX Analyst to join our Design/UX Team. You’d be performing user experience services as well as technical and business analysis for a wide range of clients, so you can expect a good amount of variety in this role. The nature of our business and this role means there is a real emphasis on UX and design, so if that’s your flavour we’d love to hear from you.
What will you really be doing every day? Your day-to-day work would be facilitating workshops, creating user stories, wire framing, gathering business goals and requirements, investigating and analysing client systems and assisting with tenders and proposals. You’ll be working in a team with four other UX/business analysts, so there’s a lot of collaboration, mentoring and peer reviewing.
For this particular role we are looking for someone with a hybrid of skills, who already has a background in business analysis, with experience in a UX role being a bonus. If you are comfortable doing business analysis and user centric thinking is second nature, this role could be for you. It goes without saying we need someone who can communicate very clearly and effectively, both with clients and the rest of your team. You will need to be flexible, adaptable and understand Agile methodologies. Previous experience with a service provider is preferable, as well as previous experience with open source solutions and applications.
