Every year, the Totara Awards recognises the most innovative and successful implementations of Totara’s adaptable, cost effective software. 2020 saw the launch of Totara’s Talent Experience Platform, comprising the Totara Learn learning management system (LMS), the Totara Engage learning experience platform (LXP) and the Totara Perform performance management system
Catalyst IT is a founding partner of Totara, which started life in New Zealand in 2010. Catalyst IT has been a committed member of the Totara Partner network ever since, building up a strong customer base across sectors around the world. They are strong advocates of software maintenance, and are known for their excellent customer service and expertise.
Some of Catalyst IT’s Totara customers include Kmart, Humanitarian Leadership Academy, British Dental Association, RPS Energy, Tourism New Zealand and many New Zealand Government departments. Their UK operation is featured on the G-Cloud 12 digital marketplace for simplified purchasing for UK public sector organisations.
Customer Kmart also won Best Retail Project in this year’s Totara Awards. Their ‘KmartWay’ solution delivers productivity savings of AU$1 million a year for Kmart, and received impressive average user ratings of 4.6/5. The LMS was made available on portable data terminals (PDTs) in stores, saving time for managers and empowering retail employees to take control of their own customised learning pathways.
Catalyst specialises in innovative, creative customisations, made possible by the adaptability and open nature of Totara’s technology. This includes everything from offline players for e-learning to global content delivery networks for improved access to learning in areas of poor connectivity.
Joey Murison, Director at Catalyst IT said: “We have been involved in the development and growth of Totara as both a product and a business since before it was born, having built a number of the key features that were included at the outset. After this hugely enjoyable journey that has seen work with some of the world’s leading brands, charities and organisations – being recognised in this way is an outstanding recognition for all the hard work that our team and our partners have put in over the past 12 years”
Lars Hyland, Chief Learning Officer at Totara and a lead judge of the 2020 Totara Awards, said: “Achieving the title of Global Partner of the Year is no mean feat, especially in a year as challenging as 2020. Catalyst should be very proud of their efforts to uphold best practice software maintenance, their innovative customisations and their deep understanding of open technologies. I would like to extend my congratulations to everyone at Catalyst for this award, and I look forward to seeing what they will do next with Totara’s Talent Experience Platform.”
Alongside the launch of Totara’s Talent Experience Platform in October 2020, Catalyst IT became a Totara Alliance Partner. The Totara Alliance Partner programme recognises top-tier Totara Partners, and brings with it enhanced support services and new market opportunities.
