STACK (System for Teaching and Assessment using a Computer Algebra Kernel) is an advanced open source tool that enables automated, highly sophisticated STEM assessments, offering randomised questions, algebraic input, and immediate feedback ensuring an interactive and meaningful learning experience. While UAlberta does not use Moodle as its primary Virtual Learning Environment (VLE), Catalyst IT is delivering STACK hosting through our Secure, Stable and Scalable infrastructure. By leveraging LTI (Learning Tools Interoperability) integrations, we have enabled seamless access for UAlberta’s faculty and students, allowing them to harness the full power of STACK directly within their existing VLE.
